Rated 5 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 5 out of 5 by LED bulb for Ceiling Fans We have two ceiling fans with these smaller base type bulbs. Each ceiling fan uses four bulbs. We did have 60W bulbs that burned out after 1-2 years. With our ceiling fans about 12 feet in the air, these bulbs are hard to change. We decided to try these LEDs even though the watts are much lower. Our bedroom is about 15 ft by 15 ft. Four of these LEDs are plenty and the light emitted is nice and warm looking. We loved the new LEDs, so we bought 4 more for the family room ceiling fan; the room is bigger (18'x20') and is opened to other rooms. Four of these LEDs gives off enough light, but it would be better if it was a little more. At 12W total vs 240W with the previous bulbs, we will accept the lighting with ease. These are a little more pricey that normal bulbs, so the payback will take longer. Nevertheless, I will not have to change these bulbs for years to come!!!!! January 8, 2013
