Customer Reviews

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Replacements for Incandescent I've purchased 13 of these so far for the high hats in my house and am thoroughly impressed. With a CRI of 93, color rendering of artwork is excellent, warm color temperature of 2700K makes for a friendly appearing environment. Dimmability allows for setting the mood. I don't have any buzzing problems when I dim these bulbs. Another user complained about this but I suspect they have an older and cheaper dimmer with no inductor to smooth out the power when it gets dimmed. These bulbs are a good investment in reducing your electric power usage without sacrificing quality of illumination. I hope they last as long as predicted on the packaging. March 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by EXCELLENT color and dimming This bulb produces a color at full brightness that is identical to the incandescent bulbs I replaced. Attached to a cheap Lutron dimmer, and the bulb changed to a warmer color temp to dim more like an incandescent. Its lowest dim setting is still too bright, but I have not an LED bulb yet that does that correctly. An expensive bulb, but is my pick for an R30 for the 6" cans. January 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Expensive but good Pros: 1: They only use 8.5 watts. Good money savers in the long run. 2: They are made in America. Can't say that about most bulbs. 3: Led bulbs last longer. Also, very little heat from them. Incandescent lights put out a lot of heat, so much so you can't touch the bulb for several minutes after turning off, these you can touch immediately. 4: They can dim. One reviewer wrote about the noise these make & I almost didn't buy these because of his review, but now I'm glad I did buy these bulbs. Extremely little buzz when dimmed. You really have to be listening to hear them. Fluorescent light bulbs make a lot of noise when dimmed, these don't. He may have been using an old dimmer. I bought a dimmer rated for LED lights & it works perfect with them. Here is the dimmer I bought: Lutron Diva DVCL-153P-WH. It doesn't come with a wall plate, so make sure to buy a wall plate. Cons: Only con is the price is high, but these are made in America, which I don't mind paying a little more for. Considering the 8.5w usage, I'll make it back in the long run. Notes: 1: I was using 50 watt bulbs before. These are brighter than the 50w bulbs I was using, & they only use 8.5 watts. 2: LED bulbs don't dim as low as incandescent lights do. These lights are rated to put out the equivalent of 65 watts. So on the brights setting they are 65 watts of light, & when dimmed as low as they can go, I would rate them around 10 watts of light being put out. 3: These LED lights but out what looks like the exact color of light as the incandescent 50 watt lights I was using before. They look just like what the incandescent light produces. This is my second time ordering from 1000 bulbs. They ship fast & never had a broken bulb show up at the house. Hope this review helps. Rated 3 out of 5 by buzzing I love the light quality of these and the fact that they warm on dim, but they buzz when they’re dimmed and that drives me crazy. I’ll be sticking with the Phillips equivalent. September 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by High quality bulb I installed 12 of these bulbs in our kitchen. They are high quality bulbs and function as described. Bulbs are truly instant-on and all turn on simultaneously. Color rendering is warm, but still brighter (as expected) than an equivalent incandescent. I do not have them on a dimmer, so cannot comment. In addition, I had previous difficulty fitting the "fatter" bulbs in our home's narrow recessed housing as the cooling fins would bind; these fit perfectly. August 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Truly dimmable as advertised This bulb looks fantastic! Have them installed in my home throughout and it has magnificent color/glow. Some are wired to dimmers... exisiting dimmers.. that i didnt even have to go buy, and they are compatible just as advertised. No flicker, flashing, noise. I highly recommend. July 17, 2013
