480 Lumens - 45 Watt Equal - Dimmable

Looking for an energy-saving replacement for recessed can lights? This LED R20 bulb merges the efficiency of LED with the elegance of traditional incandescent reflector bulbs. The frosted glass face of this 9.5 watt bulb refracts light, creating 480 lumens of soft light, comparable to a 45 watt incandescent R20. This 40,000-hour bulb is ideal for small recessed housings in homes, museums, jewelry stores, boutiques, and restaurants.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Product works well, but better options available... This PlusRite LED functions well with a nice warm color temperature, however there are three downsides. This PlusRite LED has about a 2 second delay before turning on after flipping the switch, while not by any means a deal breaker, it is slightly annoying. These LED's also have a constant low buzz, while turned on. The third downside is the dimmable feature. It only dims slightly, but not nearly anything within the realm of acceptable. I tried saving $2-$3 and bought these instead of the Kobi LED-8R2027, now currently priced at only $12.50. It was a mistake. I would recommend the Kobi LED's over the PlusRite. The only issue with Kobi is the color temperature isn't quite as warm as the PlusRite, but it's only a very slight difference in my opinion. May 11, 2013
