Although they’re currently headquartered in Steamboat Springs, CO, Gualala Robotics, the manufacturers of LightRail, started in Gualala, CA in 1986. They are the world’s leading manufacturer of automated light movers for hydroponics grow rooms and greenhouses.

The basic premise behind LightRail is that a moving light has a higher chance of illuminating the lower leaves of your plants to improve photosynthesis, increasing yield and plant health overall. A moving light will also prevent hotspots from forming on plants, allowing lights to stay closer to your plants without heat damage. LightRail systems consist of a track, light kit mount, and motor assembly to automatically move lights back and forth along a rail.
