Our T12 HO ballasts operate two 72 or 96-inch fluorescent high output lamps using the rapid start method. When a low voltage current is applied, rapid start ballasts preheat the filaments before sending a stronger voltage to start the lamp. This start up method puts less stress on the filaments, extending the life of the lamp. It is important to note that these T12 ballasts do not function as efficiently in temperatures lower than 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

Ideal for general overhead lighting, T12 HO ballasts are commonly used in stores, offices, board rooms, and other similar locations. Indoor rated ballasts should be used only in dry locations where the ballast will not come in contact with any moisture or water. Outdoor rated T12 replacement ballasts should be protected from direct contact with water and other weather conditions.
