Instant start ballasts start lamps by sending a surge of 600 Volts down the lamp. F32T8 2 lamp ballasts rated for indoor locations should be used in dry areas only. Damp location rated ballasts can be used in areas where moisture is present, such as commercial bathrooms. If rated for use in outdoor fixtures, F32T8 2 lamp ballasts should be protected from the weather.
