Customer Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very bright, low power, dims weirdly I have a chandelier with 16 sockets for 16 chandelier bulbs. I have been using 40W bulbs so that my dimmer switch, which is rated at 500W, was operating beyond its capacity. My wife complained that the chandelier was too dim at its brightest setting. The new LED bulbs look very good in the chandelier, although I had to buy chandelier bulb extenders to get them to fit in the sockets. The dimming action is unbalanced and the bulbs do not fully turn off at the minimum position so the "dimmable" label is questionable. They do act as night lights using a minimum amount of power when dimmed to the minimum. The brightness of the new bulbs makes my wife happy. I am operating them through an X-10 dimmable switch. Some of the bulbs have a slight quaver when fully on through the switch. My wife doesn't notice and/or object to the quaver. The quaver goes away when a standard non-X-10 switch is used. July 1, 2014
