One of the most practical energy-efficient T8 lamps on the market today, the Forest Lighting MT8W09 retrofit tube lamp provides exceptional LED lighting with reduced energy and maintenance costs compared to its ordinary 32-watt fluorescent equivalent. Measuring 4 feet in length and operating at 19 watts, this lamp has a cool white color temperature of 4100K, a rated lifetime of 30,000 hours, and a brilliant lumen output of 1600. The Forest Lighting MT8W09 operates at 100/277 volts with a 120 degree beam angle, making it ideal for hotels, conference rooms, schools, hospitals and many other areas. Replacing fluorescent lights typically installed in commercial areas with high ceilings can be expensive. This retrofit LED will provide additional savings by reducing the need for frequent replacement. This T8 LED does not require a ballast to work and offers a built-in universal line voltage driver. To be installed by licensed electrician only. Requires non-shunted lamp holders (tombstones). See part no. SOCK-L13051U. Do not use with dimmers.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 117 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product. Wish I had bought more. I had a bad ballast on a 4' light fixture so I decided to give these a try. The price was very affordable. I bought 4 bulbs and figured I would buy more if I liked them. The light output was more than the original 40 watt T8 bulbs and they were relatively simple to wire in. Only one regret. Once I decided I really liked them, they were all sold out. I needed 14 more. January 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Product was as described. Product was easy to install. I found it very simple to change light fixture to use these led lights. Lights work well hope they last along time. February 10, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Impresive The lamp is very bright. Once I determined that it has a live end and a dead end. Then the install went very fast. January 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by 1600 Lumen - 4 ft. T8 - 19 Watt - LED I bought a new 4 foot industrial fixture that was made for two T8 lamps. I removed the ballast and some wiring and installed 4ft T8 LED's and a canopy pull switch for less than $50.00 These T8 retro lamps on sale were a good buy from 1000 bulbs January 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by So far so good We installed these bulbs about a month ago. They were easy to install - You need to change the connectors and remove the ballast - They work great - Let's see how long they last... January 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by energy efficient much better light than florescent January 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Forest Lighting MT8W09 Very well construct and puts out a lot of light. Great in cold weather conditions and a breeze to install. January 8, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by works as described but be aware of the wiring. Other LED tubes I've bought are positive on one end and neutral on the other. These tubes are only wired at one end. I prefer the former because installing a standard tube will short the circuit and trip the breaker. (if someone doesn't realize the fixture has been rewired. January 8, 2015
