    Description

The 15-Watt LifeBulb LBP8F1741A direct wire LED T8 tube requires bypassing the ballast during installation and runs directly off of line voltage to eliminate compatibility issues and maintenance costs associated with ballasts. A plastic diffusing sleeve encloses the glass tube to contain any fragments, should the bulb break. The LED T8 tube features a 240-degree light distribution through a frosted glass lens.

    • Premium frosting prevents pixilation when viewed from side angles
    • Safety coated to meet NSF-2 requirements for service applications
    • Replace fluorescent T8 and T12 lamps
    • 4 ft. LED T8 tube

To be installed by a licensed electrician only. Requires non-shunted lampholders (tombstones). See part no. SOCK-L13051U. Do not use with dimmers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Fluorescent Tube Replacement Fantastic Fluorescent Tube Replacement. The light is actually nicer, and I love the cost of electricity savings! The 4100K led is a great replacement for garage lighting. I first tried 3500K and they were a little too yellow. Sent them back, got the 4100K, perfect lighting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am soo much happy that we bought these bulbs This are excellent quality very easy to install and brightest, no flickering and immediate start one than what we had before those florescent, with ballast which every often flickers. I am so happy that we choose this product and should everyone consider to replace with this kind of bulbs. Never will disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use -- IF YOU UNDERSTAND ELECTRICITY I had six dual-tube florescent fixtures in my basement which were likely from the 50's or 60's judging by the labels on the ballasts. The lights were forever flickering, taking forever to turn on, etc. I figured I could either replace the ballasts or convert to LED. It took me a little while to figure out the schematic and which wire went where for the first conversion, however each one after that was a piece of cake. This is NOT a project for people who do not understand electricity, how to handle it safely, or cannot read a diagram. You must have wire nuts and electrical tape to do this job safely and properly. One thing I learned about the product which is not readily apparent is that these tubes are MADE OF GLASS. They appear at first to be some sort of shatterproof PVC, but this is only a coating on the outside to diffuse light. One of the tubes was damaged, so I tried to unscrew the end in hopes of repair. Not only was this not possible, but, well, I'll let you visualize what happens when you try to twist a glass tube.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Evreyone like the light , bright and save electric power It's nice to replace the bulb so I don't have to replace the noisy transformer and the bulbs so often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My "go to" retrofit. I have purchased 16 of these tubes for various applications. They have performed flawlessly so far. There is a little more to the retrofit than a direct replacement tube. The pins are marked for load and neutral at the "business end". The directions are a bit convoluted; they are more complicated than they need to be. I strip out the ballast, wiring, power end lamp holders, and retrofit accordingly. There is plenty of reuseable wire to use. I feel it is worth removing the ballasts it leaves one less thing to fail. The light and color are both excellent. No hum or flicker with these tubes either. All in all a great value. If you are unsure about the installation, do yourself and your loved ones favor; consult a licensed electrician.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brighter than T8 Sure brighter than T8, comes on instantly at full brightness in cold tempatures!! will see if they last or not, five year warranty will test half of my 10 year test, few bulbs pass the 10 year test today!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LED Tube Upgrade I tried these out as a test to replace my ballast tubes in my laundry room. The conversion process was so smooth using the ballast removal instructions. The lights are nice and bright for my laundry room and that annoying florescent tube / ballast hum is finally gone! I highly recommend these to anyone!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The product was easy to install and provided excellent light quality,. We are replacing the lamps in all of our fixtures with LED, and we have several different types of wiring and sockets. These lamps made it very easy to rewire all of the fixtures. And the light from them is bright and uniform.
