Rated 5 out of 5 by Very bright, nice quality light, just a little cool. We replaced a number of incandescent 60W lights in our ceiling "cans" with these LED lights. Angle/flooding was *excellent*, no difference at all with our incandescents. Also total light output exceeded what we were used to. However even at 2700K this light was a fair bit cooler than what we were used to. Since our walls are a warmish color, these still work fine, but if you've got bright white walls these might not be right for you. Great build quality, nice and heavy, they feel like they can dissipate a lot of heat. March 22, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by What I expected Solid. What I had hoped for. Not cheap but are very high quality. April 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by working great so far It is early to say too much, but I have had these bulbs running for about 2-3 months now in my kitchen and den. It is a busy area and the bulbs are run for about 8 hours a day and get cycled on and off as people go through the area. The bulbs have a good color and come on immediately when switch is flipped, without wait time. Hope they last as long as they are rated. LEDs are expensive, but these bulbs were cheaper than some of the others I considered. Sales person talked me into trying these instead of the more expensive ones. March 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than expected I've had very good results with this bulb replacing incandescent 75 watt and compact fluorescent 26W bulbs. With no wasted light sideways, these lamps seem to be brighter because every bit of light is concentrated in the same direction. The true color they bring out on what they shine on is more like what you see in the daylight. It is nice having the light come to full brightness compared to the fluorescents that take awhile. Rated 4 out of 5 by Very close to incandescent look. Good lighting. Very close to incandescent look. Lights come on quickly. Am having trouble finding a compatible dimmer switch. Still looking for a switch. Even though, I would be these lights again. August 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by good light These lights are bright, have a good (dim-ability) range, and i do not notice any illumination delay when turned on. work well in my recessed application. August 15, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Bright, but distinct pink hue I bought three of these to replace traditional bulbs in a recessed can. Overall, the light output is very good, but there are two very big drawbacks to these bulbs...big enough that I will be replacing these bulbs with a different brand. 1.) They do not dim well at all - I have tried another brand of LED BR30 bulb that dims just fine with the switch I have installed (Leviton toggle dimmer compatible with LEDs), but these flicker far too much, and don't dim down as far as the other brand of LED. 2.) They emit a very distinct pink hue that I've found to be irritating to my eye. My wife doesn't notice, but I do, and that is no bueno since these bulbs serve as the main source of light in the room. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent replacement for R30 incandescents or CFLs Plenty of dimmable soft white light. Replaced three 75 watt incandescents (225 watts total) with three of these 12 watt Kobis (36 watts total). Any temperature greater than 2700K would be to cool! Great energy saving product!
