by gordiepalmdesert Grea bulb for over the dinning table.
We just remodeled or dinning room which included a new table and 5 bulb chandler. We wanted to have enough light for serving dinner, and be able to dim the lights to set the correct mood in the room. We normally leave these lights on in the evening. These bulbs fit the bill perfectly. Dimmable, low operating cost, low heat and long life. The ice cream cone design was completely hidden in our chandler.

The bulb is perfect for watt-saving replacements for even the CFLs. The light is a warm slightly blue luminary. No waiting for a warm-up. Looking forward to evaluating the longevity.

Even when not dimmed, they emit a humming noise.

Rated 3 out of 5 by jbwjr54 LED light more harsh than expected
The light emitted by these bulbs were a little more harsh than the 2700K that I have bought from other sources in the past. The price was very attractive for the 15 bulbs that I needed, but it was not a nice warm light for use in the house. I will probably use them outside in fixtures around the yard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jode Excellent product value.
Light color is great (2700K). Lights are brighter than 40W equivalent incandescents. Life expectancy should make the lamps more valuable than any other type.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DoubleD ok 40w equiv bulb, but looks harsher than 2700k
When we put a room together mixing these with other manufacturers' 2700k bulbs it was clear this bulb did not quite match up on color, more harsh like a 3000k, and did not provide as "incandescent-y" a look. Good price, but I would caution that this is definitely on the "stark" side of 2700k.

side by side with other8 watt 2700K bulbs and this bulb is clearly more harsh light.
side by side with other 8 watt 3000k bulbs and the light is nearly identical.
