Omni-directional LED lighting that brightens up the room just like a traditional incandescent bulb; the shape and beam angle make this bulb suitable for shaded lamps, unshaded sockets, or ceiling lights. At 8 watts, it has a lumen output equal to a 60-watt incandescent light. The stark white color produced will show vivid colors to more closely reflect what they look like during the day.

This bulb is amazing! It looks like a regular incandescent bulb not a quirky shape like many of the other LEDs, the light shines in all directions, and provides a very white light.

This light is far better than the CFL's. The color temperature is perfect if you wake early, doing far better at imitating daylight than most CFL's. Also, if you are sensitive to dirty electricity, you will miss out on the headache and insomnia you may have been getting with CFL's or the excessive heat given off by incandescents.
And yes, the bulb will save you electricity. You will use about 5 fewer watts at the bulb than CFL's and another 5 at the air conditioner (plus not set up disturbances on the power grid and your other appliances as with CFL's). And no interference if you still listen to the radio--these bulbs are clean. You can have your radio on, listen to the AM news, and still have your light. Try THAT with those CFL's. I wouldn't even bother wasting the money on CFL bulbs if you still have incandescent--try these.
Best use: Lamps with a lampshade. If you are using them in a fixture on the ceiling or a task lamp, I recommend getting a LED bulb that is directional instead.

When it comes to LED lighting, there are all sorts of products on the market today. This bulb, the Shine 360, is the closest to a traditional incandescent light bulb that I've personally seen. It weights less than other LED lamps, putting less strain on horizontal sockets, projects light in a true 360 degree beam angle, and the "lens" portion of the lamp remains cool to the touch while lit. At 5000K color temperature, this bulb puts off a cooler white light than a typical 2700K incandescent. It is ideal for bathroom vanity lighting, as it gives you a "daylight" quality of light. It also features an acrylic envelope, which means that if you drop the bulb... glass wont shatter all over the place! These are also available in 3000K color temperature, which is a bit closer to typical frosted incandescent light bulbs.
