We also offer special conversion metal halide bulbs that can be used with fixtures intended for high pressure sodium light bulbs. These are an excellent choice because they provide better color-rendering and more light than standard metal halide lamps. 400-watt metal halide conversion bulbs are designed for use with 400-watt HPS ballasts. Some have shatter resistant coatings. All provide more accurate color-rendering and brighter light than typical HPS bulbs.
