Rated 5 out of 5 by Incredible high-quality light I absolutely love this bulb. We bought 18 of them. The light quality / color is identical or perhaps better than the halogens/incandescents it replaces. Truly the future of lighting. We run our par20's about 5 hours a day, which means that each of these bulbs will be saving us 87 KWh per year compared to the 60 watt incandescents these replaced. I had an initial disappointment with the light spread/angle until I realized that 1000bulbs had accidentally shipped me the narrow spot (8 degree) instead of medium flood (25 degree) version of this bulb. The boxes are nearly identical. 1000bulbs customer service was great. They paid for return shipping, and they shipped me the correct bulbs without waiting for my RMA to arrive. March 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by 104 out of 105 of them are still working after a year! I purchased 105 of these LEDs last year for a remodel at 2700K they are warm and work very well on dimmers. My electric bills have dropped significantly as if every light in the house is on we now only use 945 Watts. Previously we had 60 watt bulbs in the sockets using 6300 watts. And the LEDs are brighter when turned all the way up on the dimmer. So far only one has failed in under a year and is being replaced. My only other gripe is that I had to pull down the light casing for each socket to screw them in and then reinsert as the base into the socket area, as these bulbs are a bit wider than a traditional bulb at the base. Rated 4 out of 5 by The warmest light yet but with size issues This bulb gives off warmer light than 3k bulbs for sure. Dimming works well on a 4 bulb circuit with an LED specific dimmer switch. I would have liked to have had warmer light off of these as they are still cooler than their halogen counterpart. That aside, my major concern is with the shape of the bulb. They take up more space at the base than standard halogens and noticeably stick out due to contact with the recess can baffle by about .5". Other than that minor gripe and the more expensive price, these are the best alternative to halogen par20's that I've come across. May 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great halogen replacement Purchased 24 of these bulbs to install in 8 new track lighting fixtures, replacing 15-year-old fixtures. Shipping was fast with all bulbs well-protected. Was apprehensive about the light quality of LED's but these have a warm white colour and surpass the lighting quality of our previous array of 50-watt halogen bulbs. Love that our fixtures no longer throw off heat and that we won't have to change a bulb for many. many years. And of course they use way less electricity too. Yes the initial cost is a bit off-putting, but biting the bullet was definitely worth it. April 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pretty good LED flood I'm trying these out in my home office. The light is clear and crisp but still a little cool. I personally prefer the warmer light output from the halogen bulbs that I have in the rest of the house. LEDs will become better and less expensive over time. But these are a good first step in the right direction, and I think preferable to CFLs. April 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Same but different As an electrician I use a lot of bulbs and am shopping for LED replacements for halogens that will perform similarly. These have the best color and intensity match I have yet found for the price but there are still noticeable differences from halogen. The dimming ramp rates are much steeper than the halogens and the beam spread is slightly narrower. The color temperature is also more consistent through the dimming range.. Definitely a viable replacement but recommended that all be replaced simultaneously on any one dimmer or switch for the more discerning eye. Also keep in mind minimum 30 watts per dimmer for best performance. March 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by High quality, quick delivery, true color rendition. Lamps met all of my expectations. March 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent-Toshiba quality Excellent color, brightness and dimming. It's in a recessed can and you can't tell it form the standard halogens except at very low dimming. Worth the money and the wait. December 8, 2012
