I replaced my high huts 65 Watt light bulbs with this LED retrofit, it is allot brighter and the 3000 color is whiter. I was surprised to find out that it works butifully with my old dimmer (I thought that I needed to replace the dimmer with one that is special for led). I really recommend this product.

This retrofit trim is unbelievable. As an electrician I can tell you I've seen a lot of retrofit trims and by far and over this is the best quality light I have seen in a really long time. The finishing look is beautiful and the crisp light that it gives is incomparable to any bulbs or trim I've ever installed. Because they are so energy efficient and because they give so much light you also need to install from the beginning less hi hats because they give so much light. The customers love it. every time I bring the sample they want to know if they can keep it since they don't wanna wait till I actually order it. lol

First off, I've ordered from 1000bulbs.com several times and each time my order was received quickly and undamaged. This is the best valued combination of product and supplier I've found, and trust me, I shop when buying items like bulbs.
Onto the product review:
Anyone that has researched cutting over from standard to LED bulbs knows the first concern is to not make their kitchen look like a hospital ER. The color temp range to best accomplish this is between 2,700 and 3,100 kelvin. These bulbs are 3,000K, and I saw no difference in light color after I installed them.
I replaced 13 standard can bulbs in my kitchen area with these LED retro-fit kits. The project on a scale of do it yourself difficulty range of 1-10 with 1 being the easiest is a 1.5-2, depending on what you're taking out. The installation of the LED kit is a breeze, some builder's grade cans have springs rather than clips holding the rings in and you'll need two hands (no tools# to unclip the old ones. In short, if you can screw in a bulb and pinch your fingers together you can install these kits without issue.
As for the product itself, they turn on quick, fade off #which is cool#, are silent, add virtually no heat to the room, and are dimmable down to near nightlight levels. I've seen no flickering or difference in light output from one to another.
In the Box:
The units are 100% self contained and require no tools to install. Note that when you put these in the enclosed unit has a trim ring as a component so you'll be removing your old trim ring and not replacing it.
The little grid calculator 1000bulbs.com puts on their product page is helpful, but doesn't tell the whole story. At .11 /Kw/hour their little grid shows a lifetime savings of $193 by way of reduced power usage. However, based on 1,200 hour life span of a standard bulb, you'll avoid needing to replace bulbs 29 times. I replaced 13 65w can bulbs that cost around $3 each. So I see these kits saving me $258 per bulb over the life of the LED kit #I even deducted the purchase price of the kit). I replaced 13 of them saving my household over $3,300!!!!!
