The built-in photocell restricts PIR motion sensor operation to dusk-to-dawn hours, keeping the lamp inactive during daylight regardless of motion. Once triggered at night, the light remains on for 5 minutes before shutting off automatically when no further motion is detected.  The wall switch can be toggled off and on twice within 3 seconds to override the motion sensor and operate the lamp as a standard continuous light source, requiring no additional hardware or rewiring. 

This 14-Watt LED lamp has a Lumen output equivalent to a 100-Watt incandescent lamp yet consumes less energy, resulting in lower electricity bills. Its 5000 Kelvin color produces a daylight white output while providing 1150 Lumens. UL wet location approved, you can install this light in outdoor locations.
