Along with self-testing features, this unit also has light and sound indicators for low battery, malfunctions, end-of-life and more, while the 9V battery backup keeps the unit working even during power outages.

The electrochemical CO sensor is calibrated to ignore CO levels below 30 PPM and will not trigger an alarm if exposed to a consistent level of 30 PPM for 30 days. Featuring an ionization and an electrochemical CO sensor, this alarm is designed to detect small particles from fast, flaming fires and provide reliable detection of carbon monoxide levels in your home for comprehensive safety coverage.
