The Kidde 0910 single sensor smoke alarm features alarm memory and smart hush. The innovative design of this alarm's automatic activation is unlike any other smoke alarm. The 0910 alarm will automatically activate when it is attached to the mounting bracket, with no pull-tabs or switches. At the end of the alarm life, the unit will chirp every 30 to 45 seconds indicating the alarm is in need of replacement. Operating at temperatures from 40 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, the alarm also features sealed-in, board-mounted batteries that will power the 0910 unit for its complete 10-year life. This alarm uses ionization sensing technology, which may detect invisible fire particles associated with fast, flaming fires, sooner than photoelectric alarms.
