I reworked two 4' florescent tube fixtures in my garage with LED tubes due to cool weather starting problems. An old damaged light fixture was easily rewired to operate the LED tubes. One of the tube socket insulators was broken so 4 replacement sockets were ordered to replace the existing fixture sockets. The new sockets are "insert bulb straight in totally", then "rotate only" the bulb to the electrical connections, VS the old "rotating the bulb" while trying to get the bulb to go around to the socket electrical connections. This "straight in" is a much easier way of inserting the tubes, especially when they are 4' long!
The new sockets needed to be modified slightly by removing some surface plastic to fit through the old metal fixture electrical socket slots.
The LED tubes are brighter, start right away, and should be more reliable than the florescent tubes they have replaced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by property Needed to replace existing T8 bulbs
These are required to replace existing T8 or T12 bulbs with LED tubes. They are inexpensive and fit right in the existing fixture.
No guesswork required.

While attempting an install, I had several tombstones break on me. Would not recommend. I wound up re-installing the old tombstones.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Leonard Works fine last long time
I had to replace the flourescent light assembly in my kids bathroom. This was the second time in 15 years that I had to do this. The first time, the local home improvement store had the entire assembly available to purchase. This last time, the local home improvement store only sold the ballast and did not sell the correct lampholders. 1000 bulbs.com had the correct lampholders at a outstanding low price.
