Rated 5 out of 5 by from So pleased with this purchase I changed the incandescent bulbs in my kitchen and hallway to these bulbs, and have been very pleased with them. They are a nice "temperature"...natural color. They come on instantly (there is the traditional short "warm up" period to full brightness...but they do provide enough instant light to be perfectly effective immediately). But suddenly this week, two of them burned out. So I came back to 1000bulbs to order more. Upon checking my previous order, I discovered that the ones that had burned out had been in constant use for over THREE YEARS!!! I can't believe it! I didn't realize so much time had passed. What incredible value for the money! I highly recommend these bulbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MAKING THE SWITCH TO CFL - Finally! We have 10 recessed cannisters in our kitchen and replacing the bulbs has been a continual process for us. I am looking forward to a year or more without seeing my husband dragging in the ladder from the garage! These lights are bright with an incandescent glow to them that I like. Two months and counting. So far so good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great light for a cfl If you are looking for a replacement for a 50 watt halogen with 2/3 less energy consumption this is your bulb. It gives the same light as a halogen color wise too.Less heat and much longer lifespan...8000 hours vs. 1200 or so.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Halogen Replacement TCP has done a really good job replicating a halogen bulb with this CFL. The 3100K color temperature is virtually indistinguishable from a halogen, and the faceted face gives it a surprisingly wide and even beam spread. It's also wet location listed, but I would suggest installing the bulb under an eve or carport. It works well outside, though the warm-up time is longer in cold weather.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Slow to reach full luminosity These bulbs are fine if you can wait a few minutes until you actually have enough light to see something. For example, they would be good on a timer that you set ahead of the time you need the light. But if you use them to light a dark room that you are entering and you want to be able to see well the instant you enter, buy a bulb that starts at near full power instantly.
