The BRK SL177 is an ADA-approved strobe light for use in conjunction with BRK smoke, heat, or carbon monoxide alarms. It is designed for residential and institutional applications including sleeping rooms of hospitals, hotels, motels, dormitories, and other multifamily dwellings. Operating in temperatures from 40 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit and in humidity up to 90%, this state of the art strobe light is designed to provide hearing impaired individuals with a visual warning of a fire or carbon monoxide danger. The Smart Strobe has separate flash patterns to distinguish between smoke/heat and carbon monoxide dangers. Interconnectable with up to 18 devices, connection to AC power is made with a 'Quick-Connect' wiring harness. This strobe light is not a standalone device and must be used with approved BRK alarms.

This Strobe Light is intended to be interconnected with functioning smoke, heat or carbon monoxide alarms. It has no means of detection on it own. It will not operate without AC power.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Wasnt what I expected I guess it depends on what you are looking for but I was expecting it to work like a regular detector. I got this product for an elderly lady tat lives by herself but it wasnt particular because if there were no electricity than this wouldnt work!!! May 18, 2014
