    BR30 CFL - 15 Watt - 65W Equal - 2700K Warm White - 82 CRI - 50 Lumens per Watt - Philips 40620-7 is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cost, labor, and energy saving purchase. I convinced a commercial customer that changing out their halogen 50w lamps to the 65w equivalent CFL would reduce their energy consumption, increase the life of the bulb, reduce my labor to about half, and the initial outlay would be equal. The color was very close to that of the halogen, and they were happy with the increase in lumens. Some of the lamps could not be changed because of the type of fixture, but overall I was able to change out 54 of the 180 lamps. My only problem now is I cut my paycheck.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great value, but watch out for color and packaging These seem like very high quality bulbs and are obviously a great value. They're not perfect though. They definitely don't give the "warm white" light I've come to expect from other 2700K CFLs. They're more of a "full spectrum" 5000K sort of light... very fluorescent looking. The packaging could be improved, too. Each bulb is packed in an individual plastic clamshell. This seems very wasteful and defeats the purpose of ordering by the case. Still love 1000 Bulbs, but I won't be buying these CFLs again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product gives a warm illuminating light Give off plenty of light. Gets to full brightness in about 45 seconds. Throws off hardly any heat which was a problem with the incandescents they replaced. Price was very good. Shipping was quick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good replacement for normal floods From 240W to 60W for the dining room (which stays lit a lot) - quite a good saving. So far (1 year) no burn outs and no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Execellent! Very natural light! This is a great bulb to convert from a normal floodlight to CFL. It has a natural light and looks wonderful. Also, 1000Bulbs is an amazing company. This is my second order and both times I have payed less than any other store and I've received my items FAST.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Close to halogen quality I purchased these on a sale from 1000bulbs.com several months ago as replacements for the CFL flood lamps that I had purchased over a year before these. The color rendered on these is much better than the inexpensive bulbs and I only have one that is slightly a green hue compared to the others. The definition from the light is also much better. I mean this in that reading a book or paper in this light is much easier on the eyes and the text appears sharper as well. I was so satisfied with the results of these bulbs that I have replaced all of my original bulbs with these Philips bulbs and will only use the others as replacements. Overall the power savings and light output are very good. As a word of warning, do not use these on a dimmer switch. We had one on a dimmer switch that we always kept at full power, but it burned out a bulb anyway after several months. The other 12 bulbs I purchased are working strong. Thanks Philips and 1000bulbs.com

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Slow to get full light like all CPLs and color temp not as nice as incandecent These bulbs are similar to all CPL bulbs in that they take a little bit to "warm up" and get bright. Once they are "warm" they do a very good job of lighting things up. The color temperature is still very different and tends to be on the cool side (blue). I personally prefer a warmer color temperature light. It is harder to tell the difference in color temperature if you replace all of your bulbs with these bulbs. Saves money, I just hope they last as long as they say they should.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very good CFL for a great price. This CFL puts out a lot of very warm light and warm up very fast. We replaced all of the recessed lights in our kitchen with these bulbs, and they make the space look great. We had to remove the dimmer switch controlling the lights, but it was worth it.
