Elliptical (ellipsoidal) reflector light bulbs are uniquely designed to project light further than other reflector bulbs. They are a great option for use in deep recessed can lights as they lose less light in baffles than standard BR- or R-type bulbs. The SLi Lighting 1029 bulb is equipped with a heavy-duty 130 volt filament, allowing it to last longer when operated at 120 volts. With a 5,000 hour life, this bulb has nearly twice the lifetime of similar bulbs.
