Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good CFL bulb. So I just recieved 4 of these bulbs today. The bulbs look nice and light up well, full brightness after about 1 minute as expected. There are a few concerns I have for the bulb. The web description mentions that the bulb is 1800lumens/12,000 life hours, when the bulb and box both state 1700lumens/10,000 life hours. Not a big deal, but if you want an exact lumenation and life hour number don't go by the description. The 1 minute warm up time doesn't bother me because there are still at least 800lumens(same as a 13watt CFL) when initally turned on, but for a room that you will be in for only a minute, like a closet. I wouldn't choose these. I bought these for suspended lights over my bar and they are great for that because I leave them on for hours and they give off a beautiful warm glow, equaling a normal 100watt incandescent. Walmart has their brand of this bulb that runs 23watts/1600lumens/9,000 life hours and is about $2.25. I like both bulbs, but I was hoping when I ordered these bulbs for the proper lumen and life hour. May 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by good for garage we put this in the garage to replace a 60watt incandescent.. didn't want to go any higher on those due to the heat they put out, but it wasn't quite enough light.. this 100w equivalent does the job perfectly.. the only problem is if you haven't had it on in the past 5 or 10 minutes it has to go through its process of getting up to full light output.. which is something to get used to.. it can take up to a minute for full 100w equivalent brightness.. there is enough light to get around when it's first turned on, but it takes some getting used to. I didn't have this problem with the lower wattage bulbs or even a 3-way cfl i have for the floor lamp that comes right on with no warm up time.. February 3, 2013
