Customer Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great when used for the intended purpose! This bulb is a full sized PAR38 bulb. It produces a very bright beam of light that is suitable for locations that already have some illumination. It is also rather heavy, which is typical of LED bulbs. You need to place it in a fixture that will not sag with the weight, as is the case for many old, worn-out fixtures. Its beam is spotlight-narrow at 25 degrees, so its best application is lighting things like artwork or featured items from high ceilings where there is a lot of distance between the bulb and the lighted object, or when you want a dramatic spotlight effect. The light produced is not too blue or too yellow, and brings out the colors in artwork in a very natural looking way. I use these bulbs in a gallery where the light fixtures are 15 feet away from the art and I'm very pleased with the results. However, if you are lighting large objects that will be close to the bulb, you should order a "flood" type bulb rather than this "narrow flood" type bulb. But in any case, the 4000k color temperature does wonders for whatever it lights and makes nearby 2700K and 3000K lightsources looking kind of jaundiced by comparison. July 29, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not what I expected. Maybe I just ordered the wrong bulb, for the wrong application. The narrow beam on these bulbs did not fit my needs, however it seems that all leds in this class have a narrow beam. The bulb is also heavy and made the drop ceiling sag in spots. May 8, 2014
