Grow Light Metal Halide or High Pressure Sodium - Dimmable - Universal Plug - 120/240 Volt

The UltraGROW UG-EB600 600 watt dimmable digital ballast uses solid state electronic circuitry to provide the proper starting and operating electrical condition to power HID lamps. These electronic ballasts automatically detect voltage from 110V-240V and detects what type of bulb you're using, whether High Pressure Sodium or Metal Halide. They feature dimming and maximum output options for various wattages. After the initial bulb warm up, you can dim the lamp from 100% down to 50%, allowing you to select the perfect amount of light for the desired application.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Loud This ballast is extremely noisy. My exhaust fan is quieter then this ballast. So you should take that in consideration if you are growing in a room near where people are living. So far the ballast seems to work fine, but it came with no instructions at all, The wiring diagram is right on the ballast, but neither wire is marked so if you have some weird light with a plug that doesn't fit, you best know something about wire colors. I did like the plug that came with it, because it did have two connectors, which will fit most lights. I've been using digital ballasts for about 10-years now. I have a 4-seasons sun-room on my home and I had a 250 watt, and a 400 watt digital ballast that I used at different times of the year with HP lights to extend the grow hours. Neither ballast has a fan, and they run silently, while this one doesn't. November 16, 2014
