Rated 3 out of 5 by Ok for the price, you get what you pay for This fixture is ok for the price, but you get you pay for. This fixture is very basic, no frills whatsoever. Thin cast aluminum housing, cheap finish, scratches easily. Weak locknut at the base. No set screws to hold the cover in place, it's held in place by tension from two o-rings. Out of the box, I found the covers very difficult remove without scratching the finish. After installing lamps, it was equally difficult to get the cover back on completely and properly seated. When the cover is completely seated, the lens is very nearly (+/- 1/8") touching the front of the lamp. The cover has a recessed, flat glass lens that would likely be a problem if the fixture is installed as an uplight, where water could pool on the lens. The "dark bronze" finish doesn't match any off the shelf bronze boxes that I'm aware of. Overall this is a middle-of-the-road fixture. I installed 10 of these in the tops of trees as down lights. I'm far from blown away by these fixtures, but they did the job. Like I said, you get what you pay for. I'm not terribly impressed, but the price is tough to beat. June 2, 2014
