Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice light Looks like day. Very nice January 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love these bulbs bought these to replace CFL's inthe kitchen. Pros: bright from the start The color lets you see the real color not a yellow tint Cons: more expensive in the short term (long term no con) July 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Everything as expected but one. These bulbs are the whitest and brightest I've ever seen. They are dimmable, but do not get as dim as the incandescents for which they were the replacement. This may be a function of the dimmer switch, and is a small problem that can be adapted to easily. Electrician replaced our dimmer switch for one that was supposed to be specific to handle LEDs. June 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent LED lighting Initially I was uncertain about these lights and their cost. I took a chance and have been very pleased with the performance and quality of light they emit. They come on instantly and produce a bright, white visual experience in our kitchen. I plan to purchase more and replace the six year old fluorescents in the rest of my house. I highly recommend the GCP 527 as a light source. May 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than comparable CFL Better than comparable CFL though still on the pricier side even on sale. In terms of performance they turn on almost instantly and at full brightness. Hopefully LED brightness will not diminish too soon - only used them for three weeks now. Definitely a recommended item especially when on sale. April 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Bright "small Sun" for Dark Places This was the perfect light for a dark tiled shower. I had tried CFLs up to 120 watt equivalent and they took so long to come on and then were just not very bright. This did the trick, bright and instant on. June 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by No More Dark Seattle House!!! We live in Seattle, WA where it is often overcast and even on the rare sunny day, the big trees cast shadows onto our home and it is very dark, dreary and depressing inside. Short of moving to Florida, I knew something drastic had to be done. Having tried almost every light bulb known to mankind (halogen, CFL's, incandescent, etc.), nothing came close to adequately lighting our home... until this miracle bulb!!! To say we are thrilled is an understatement. The light is CRISP WHITE (no trace of warm yellow tones but not medicinal either), and beautifully BRIGHT, just like the sun. Hallelujah! The overhead cans actually look like miniature skylights. The only hiccup is if you have existing dimmer switches, you will probably need to replace them with LED-compatible dimmers. We swpped ours out for the Lutron Diva Dimmer DVLV-600P-WH, which works great for 10 overhead cans. The light bulb manufacturer also has a list of LED-compatible dimmers on their website so you can see if your existing dimmer switch will work. The bulbs are expensive, but are supposed to last 10 years and have a 4 year guarantee. Money well spent for our family! May 4, 2013
