This 3.5 watt A17 standard shape light bulb uses Archipelago's patented driver-free LED technology. Operating on AC (alternating current) instead of DC (direct current) the LEDs within this bulb require no driver to make a voltage conversion. This means the bulb's 50,000-hour life is not limited by the life of a driver! No driver also means the bulb is smaller than other LED light bulbs since a large aluminum heatsink is not needed. Use this wet location rated bulb to replace any 25 watt incandescent A-shape in decorative or standard lighting fixtures, indoors or outdoor.

Must be installed in a gasketed water proof socket. Do not use in patio light stringers.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works well and looks good I bought this bulb for above my front door, and front yard post light. It's a classier looking bulb than other LED or CFL's and provides just the right amount of light for visibility without making the neighbors want to shoot it out - we've all had the neighbor whose exterior lights made us want to confess where we were the night of May 5th... Rated 5 out of 5 by Bulbs look warm and "real". I placed bulbs in fixture where they are visible-- visitors are surprised when I tell them they are LED. Nice and warm lights. December 29, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Bulb provides a very nice effect... Effective quantity of light and a nice addition to our guest bathroom light fixture. Of the three I originally purchased one died prematurely. Purchased two more in good faith. We will see! October 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by really good looking bulb i wish it was available with higher wattage September 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for table lamps This is the first bulb I've found which works well in my table lamps. Other LED bulbs sent most of their light upwards, while these work pretty much like indandescents. They're especially nice in the small lamps with shades that clip onto the bulb itself. These bulbs generate almost no heat, so I can throw a cloth, hat, or glow-in-the-dark toy on top (and forget about it) without burning/melting anything. The color is a cooler white than incandescent bulbs, but not nearly as cold as some other "2700K" LED bulbs I've tried. June 25, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Found only one fklaw so far. See below. Used the bulb in a chandelier with 5 bulbs. I cannot use all 5 LED BULBS as it will not turn off using a dimmer switch. I have to keep one regular bulb to turn the chandelier off. May 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by this has a nice look to it I like the look of this lamp. I wish they made a larger one. May 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hard to find A17 replacement Buy a new house and you will get clear incandescent bulbs. I started looking for a replacement for dining and bath fixtures that get the most use and other LEDs were too tall for dining glass holders. This one is an A17 and not very tall so all works great. On the dining fixture I went from 480 watts to 28! April 28, 2014
