California Compliant Bulbs - PAR38
California compliant PAR38s must be more efficient than other bulbs in order to meet the state’s stricter requirements. In order to become JA8 certified, bulbs and fixtures are required to meet strict requirements and pass rigorous testing. Title 20 compliant bulbs must have a rated life of at least 10,000 hours and produce at least 68 Lumens per Watt.
LED PAR 38s last longer and use less energy than incandescent or halogen bulbs. PAR38 bulbs are 4.75 inches in diameter and are typically used in large recessed can fixtures and landscape lighting fixtures. Check the Safety Rating under the Specifications section on each bulb’s product page to make sure they are rated for either wet locations or enclosed fixtures.
