Ionized Sensor
Ionized smoke detectors are a type of smoke detector that use electrically charged particles to detect smoke. When smoke enters the detector's ionization chamber, it disrupts the electrically charged particles, causing the detector to sound an alarm. These detectors are particularly effective at detecting flaming fires that spread quickly and can engulf a room or even an entire house in just a few minutes.
Flaming fires can be caused by a variety of sources, such as a knocked over candle, a malfunctioning appliance, or even spilled grease in the kitchen. Because they produce flames, flaming fires can be particularly dangerous and destructive. Ionization smoke detectors are designed to detect these types of fires quickly, giving occupants of the space an early warning so they can evacuate safely and call the fire department.
